Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Bridge Town. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Bridge Town”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means the operator of the Bridge Town platform at https://bridgetown.builders.
  • “Service” means the Bridge Town web application, API, MCP server, and related services.
  • “You” or “User” means the individual or organisation accessing the Service.
  • “Content” means financial models, data, code, and any other material you upload or create using the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, either on your own behalf or on behalf of the organisation you represent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bridgetown.builders if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service to store, transmit, or process data in violation of applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other tenants’ data, the underlying infrastructure, or any system connected to the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or service.
  • Upload malicious code, interfere with the Service’s integrity, or conduct denial-of-service attacks.
  • Circumvent any technical or access controls in the platform.
  • Use the AI features of the Service to generate output that is false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all Content you create or upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will not use your Content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your Content. We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or regulatory non-compliance in financial models or outputs you create.

6. AI-Generated Output

Bridge Town uses large language models to assist with financial model generation and analysis. AI-generated output is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice, accounting advice, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and acting on any AI-generated output before using it for business decisions.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may perform scheduled maintenance, which we will communicate in advance where possible.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be available at any particular time or location.
  • Errors or defects will be corrected within any given timeframe.
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements.

8. Subscription and Billing

Access to paid features of the Service is subject to a subscription. Billing is managed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current rate.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are at our discretion; contact support@bridgetown.builders for billing disputes.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions; in those cases the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no warranty that the Service is error-free, secure, or will meet your requirements.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bridge Town, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

You may terminate your account at any time via the account settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice by email or via a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
